3 Day First Aid Training Course
In a world where emergencies can happen without warning, the importance of having skilled individuals who can react efficiently to various encounters cannot be emphasised. In house first aid training equips staff, volunteers, or members of an organisation with the vital experience to deal with emergencies within their immediate environment, potentially saving lives. In the UK, best practices and regulations quality control this type of training, ensuring that individuals are aptly prepared.
On site first aid training refers to formalised training sessions delivered at a company's office, rather than at a public training centre. The benefit of on-site training is that it is often tailored to the specific needs and potential risks of that specific environment.
Immediate Response: Quick reactions in emergency situations decrease the severity of injuries and can even protect against fatalities.
Legal Requirement: Depending upon the nature and dimension of your organisation, the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 mandates that employers give adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities, and skilled personnel.
Boost Morale: Personnel often feel more safe recognising that there are trained people amongst them.
Possible Financial savings: Lowered seriousness of injuries can lead to much less time off employment and potential savings in settlement.
Paisley has various first aid courses tailored to different needs:
Beyond the duration, the primary distinction lies in the depth of content each course covers.
Onsite First Aid Training's 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work course functions as an entry-level accredited training, perfect for those in corporate, educational, retail, and low-risk sports environments.
In contrast, our comprehensive 3 Day First Aid at Work course is designed for high-risk environments like sports, construction, manufacturing, and warehousing, providing thorough training.
To keep certification, a 2-day First Aid re-qualification course needs to be done before the expiry of the existing certificate, advisedly within a month of its expiration. If not requalified timely demands retaking the full 3-day course.
Moreover, there's an annual First Aid refresher course. While not mandatory, it comes highly recommended by HSE for all First Aid certified individuals to keep updated on their training.
For instance, a first aider who, after three years without refreshers, makes a serious error during a crisis, leading to tragic consequences.
Through Onsite First Aid Training, we provide two paediatric courses: the Emergency Paediatric course and the OFSTED-approved Paediatric First Aid course. The OFSTED course covers more subject areas, designed to meet OFSTED standards. Ideal for school teachers, nannies, and au pairs, whereas the Basic Paediatric First Aid course focuses on private nannies and parents.
At the conclusion of First Aid courses, you are required to complete a multiple-choice question paper. Should you are unsuccessful, you will have a single opportunity to retake. If failed a second time, you will need to book and take the course again, providing 2 more attempts to succeed.
Founded in 2014, Onsite First Aid Training has quickly emerged as a leading provider of First Aid training in the region.
The beginning of the company was very personal. Our founder, Sarah Jeffries, experienced the tragic loss of a close friend to sudden cardiac arrest, a situation worsened by the lack of immediate First Aid help. This critical event drove Jo-Anne to begin a journey to offer effective, lasting First Aid training courses.
Today, Onsite First Aid Training stands as a model of safety and preparedness. We are dedicated to equipping businesses with the skills to protect themselves and others in their surroundings.
